India walks out of SCO meet after Pakistan initiatives ‘fictitious map’ displaying Kashmiri territory
New Delhi, Sep 15: India on Tuesday walked out of a gathering of the nationwide safety advisors of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member nations in protest after the Pakistani consultant used a “fictitious” map displaying Indian territories as a part of Pakistan.
“This was in blatant disregard to the advisory by the host towards it and in violation of the norms of the assembly. After session with the host, the Indian aspect left the assembly in protest at that juncture,” Exterior Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava stated.
The assembly was chaired by Russia. “As was to be anticipated, Pakistan then went on to current a deceptive view of this assembly,” he stated responding to a question on the difficulty.
Authorities sources stated the Pakistani motion was “blatant violation” of the SCO constitution and towards all its established norms of safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of SCO member states.
